Okay, here’s my website’s first blog post, which, as required by tradition, if not law, is here to announce it’s the first blog post. So now that that’s out of the way…

Welcome to my website. This blog is where I can stop referring to myself in the third person like I do on the rest of the site. What a relief.

Anyway, after all these years of threatening to do it, I finally have a website I can call my very own. It’s the place to find out (if it matters to you) the cool and groovy things I’ve been up to and have planned for the future. Please let me know what you’d like to see that isn’t on the site yet.

[And if you’re wondering why you should care that I have either a site or a blog, then there’s certainly enough info about me on the site that you can decide if this is indeed where you want to be. Hope you decide that it’s worth you time to stick around and to come back regularly.]

The website is also a place where you can take online classes with me, starting with the 5-session, realtime comics writing course that starts Weds April 25 at 7 PM east coast US time. Click here to find out details.

Over the years that I’ve been teaching comics writing and other comics-related subjects, people have been telling me they wished they lived in the NYC area so they could take my classes. Well, now’s your chance to study with me without having to (literally and figuratively) leave home!

The virtual workshop/roundtable class will max out at six students, so everyone will get attention from their fellows students and from yours truly, but there won’t be so many students that the voices get to be a virtual cacophony. We’re going to keep it fairly low-tech, so people at all levels of computer know-how will be able to join in. More details as we get closer to the start date. (Did I mention it’s April 25?)

Of course, you can also study one-on-one with me through cyberspace, have me comment on and critique your work, etc. If you’re interested in that kind of thing, let me know and I can give you more details. You can find out about other ways to study and/or work with me here. And you can contact me at (unsurprisingly): danny@dannyfingeroth.com.

Okay, that’s it for today. Once again, thanks for checking out the site, and I hope you enjoy your visits here!
